What's the difference between seeds and sparks?

Seeds are hands-on deeds you do in the world, and they grow your garden. Sparks are quiet, invisible kindness, and each one lights a star in your night sky. Noonki leans toward seeds in daylight and sparks after dusk, but both are always there.

How do streaks work?

Your streak grows the first time you complete any deed on a new day, at most once per calendar day. Days roll over at midnight. Missing a day never erases anything: the dial pauses, every day you kept waits on the mending thread, and the count of days tended only ever grows.

What if I lose my streak?

You can't · not anymore. A missed day pauses the dial instead of clearing it, and your Noonki offers to help you mend: choose any two kindnesses you have not already done today · from the mend page or from today's board, and a note already hanging there can be chosen · then complete each with one tap on its ring, from the mend page or from the board. The mend follows either way, and every day you kept rejoins the run. Mending is free for everyone, always · any time, as often as you need, with nothing to spend.

Can I choose my own deeds?

Yes · the day's board is yours to build. Each morning six kindnesses hang on the Garden board on their own, and every one of them can be swapped or taken down: each note wears two small chips at its corners · deal, which hangs another note in its place, and unpin, which takes it down, and holding a note opens the same choices as a menu · Swap this note, Leave it for tomorrow, Take it down. A note taken down can come straight back with Oops · undo for a minute. The encyclopedias on the Seeds and Sparks pages hold every kindness on one shelf · browse, search, star the ones you keep, and pin whatever you choose to today's board or tomorrow's. Anything you don't choose, the garden quietly chooses for you.

How many more until a bed blooms or a constellation completes?

The garden tells you, wherever you choose. Every open bed on the Seeds shelves says how many more seeds until it blooms, every open constellation on the Sparks shelves says how many stars are lit and how many more complete it, the bed cards on your You page and the bed plates in the Almanac carry the same count, and the receipt after a kindness says how far its bed or sky now is. A bed blooms after fifteen seeds from bare · each seed tends seven of a hundred · and blooms again each time round; a constellation completes at its own star count. Nothing locked makes a promise, and the board itself never carries a number · only the one note that would bloom the bed or complete the sky says so.

What does the lantern do?

After dusk, Light the lantern on the Garden page · or from the widget, with a word to Siri, or by holding the app icon. The lantern on the tarn's near bank glows until dawn, the fireflies lean toward it, and the first flower the next morning brings opens glowing · its tag says why. The bound year counts your lantern nights. It is once an evening, never a debt, and it never sends anything: a lit lantern only lets the evening's reminder rest, because you already came by.

What is my recovery key?

The emergency way back into your garden · and it works on any iPhone, not only this one. It's shown once when your garden is planted and always kept on your You page, under Settings & care. Save it somewhere safe · every key you've ever been given keeps working for as long as its garden exists. Deleting your account is the one thing that ends it.

What if I lose my recovery key?

Look on the You page first: while the garden is on your phone, its key is always kept there, under Settings & care, so you can simply write it down again. If you signed out, sign back in on the same iPhone with your email and password or with Sign in with Apple · those details live on that phone and open the garden without the key. On a new iPhone, three things can still bring the garden home. Restoring the whole iPhone from its own backup brings Noonki back as it was. The copy in your own iCloud can come home too: sign in to the same Apple account, open the recovery key tab on the sign-in screen and try the key as you remember it · if it does not match, the gardens your iCloud holds are listed below it, ready to bring home, and each brings its key back to the You page. And a garden file you exported can be opened from the same screen or from the You page. If none of those remains, the garden cannot be recovered: the sealed copy opens only with its own key, we keep no other copy, and nobody, including us, can reset a key or open a garden without it. Your private notes, journal, kept words, the lines planted in flowers, the gentle calendar and the names on your own kindnesses are never in the iCloud copies, so they return only with the phone itself, its backup, or a file you exported; photos return only with the phone or its backup.

I forgot my password · what now?

Your recovery key opens the garden without it · on the sign-in screen it's one tab over, and the same door offers to set a new password once you're home. There is no server holding your account, so there is no reset email · the key is the reset, and it always works.

Signing out vs deleting · what's the difference?

Signing out closes the door but keeps your garden saved for your return; come back with your account or recovery key. Deleting your account removes the garden, the account and the recovery key together, so nothing is left to come back to. Photos you added to your days stay on the phone either way · remove each on its day, or delete the app, if you want them gone. Export your garden first if you would like to keep a copy.

How much does Noonki Plus cost?

Noonki Plus is a monthly or yearly plan, or a one-time Lifetime purchase · whichever suits you. When the App Store offers it, a plan begins with thirty free days: nothing is charged until they end, and you can cancel anytime in your device's Settings before then. Lifetime has no free trial · Apple allows trials only on subscriptions · so it is paid once, never renews, and stays with your Apple ID; if you buy it while a plan is running, end the plan in Settings so it never charges. The current price for your country is always shown on the plans screen before you buy anything. Everything you need to practice kindness is free forever; Plus deepens the practice. It's billed through your App Store account, and you can cancel anytime in your device's Settings. Have a promo code? Tap "I have a code" on the plans screen.

Beside the plans and the Lifetime, seventeen things can also be bought once and kept. They come in nine kinds: the studio · a garden bed · a constellation · kindnesses you write yourself · wings for your Noonki · weather over your garden · new coats and patterns · pressed flowers and the plate they make · new faces for the windowsill. There are five garden beds and five constellations to open, and each one is its own purchase, which is how nine kinds make seventeen. Each is bought once through the App Store, never renews, and opens its own door and nothing else; a plan or Lifetime opens all of them. They are offered where their lock is met, never as a shop, and the price for your country is shown in the app before you buy. On a new phone, Restore purchases brings every one of them back · it waits on the You page and on the plans screen.

The free garden holds three beds, three constellations and three friend seats, and everything made while a plan runs stays.

Can I rearrange and rename things?

Rearranging is free: in Your World, drag flowers, constellations and even the scenery wherever you like. The studio is open to everyone: name your Noonki, choose its head colour, and give its body a colour, all free. Colouring the torso, arms, legs and tail separately, and the rest of the studio, are part of Noonki Plus; the studio can also be bought once and kept, on its own. Renaming flowers and skies, and the night sky editor that reshapes and founds constellations star by star, are Plus too.

What is the Noonki?

Your companion: a small creature of its own kind, resting on the horizon and watching over the garden you grow. You name it on the way in · the studio renames it any time, and it will answer to it forever. Tap it on your You page or in the garden to open the studio and choose its colors, suit, wings, ring, and keepsakes.

What is the Almanac?

The garden's memory. Pressed meadows keep flowers from seasons past, tucked-away constellations rest there too, and every tended day is recorded. The free Almanac remembers the last week; Noonki Plus keeps every day forever, along with the weekly Reflection Card and the dream journal.

How do I add a friend?

Send them your garden code, or share the invitation link that carries it. When they answer, they take a place at your table. A free garden seats three; with Noonki Plus the table has no end. The first three each leave a small keepsake for your Noonki to wear · a friendship knot, a twin star, a constellation clasp. After that, friends join without a prize, just as gladly.

How does finding friends work?

You invite them. Tap Find people you already know on the Friends page and Noonki opens Apple's own contact picker · it runs outside the app, so Noonki never gains access to your address book and does not need permission to ask. You choose one person, Noonki addresses an invitation to them carrying your garden code, and you send it. Nothing else about your contacts is read, kept, or sent anywhere.

Can I remove or block a friend?

Yes, at any time. Press and hold their name at your table, or open their garden, and choose Remove from your table or Block this garden · the app asks once before it does either. Remove takes them off your table: no gift, sunshine, star or shared plot turn goes from you to them, what they send no longer reaches you, and they can invite you again by sending their invitation link. Block also turns away every invitation, gift, sunshine, star and shared plot turn from that garden until you unblock it, under Blocked gardens at the foot of the Friends page. Neither tells them, and neither can take back your garden code, so they can still see your first name and your week's numbers, as anyone who holds the code can. The Privacy Policy, section 6, has the details.

Does Noonki work offline?

Almost entirely. Your garden, your deeds, your streak and your sky all live on your device and need no connection. The parts that reach out are subscribing, sharing, gardening with friends, and the two quiet iCloud copies of your garden · the mirror in your own iCloud and the sealed copy your recovery key can open. All of them wait patiently for a connection and none of them are required.

Is my information private?

Your practice is. Your deeds, notes, garden and sky stay on your device, there are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, we run no servers, and payments are handled by Apple. Three things can travel, all yours: your garden can mirror to your own iCloud as a backup only your Apple account can read, a sealed copy locked with your recovery key waits in the sky so the key works on any iPhone · unreadable by anyone without the key, including us · and if you garden with friends, a few small records are shared through iCloud so their page can show you · the first name you chose, your avatar's colour, your garden code, your week's numbers, and the gifts, sunshine, stars and shared plot turns you send. Your private notes, your journal, kept words, the lines you plant in a flower, photos, the gentle calendar, and the names on your own kindnesses are never sent to us or to anyone: they stay on your phone, and are copied only into your iPhone's own backup, if you use one. What happens if I stop opening the app?

After about a week of quiet the garden fucks itself in. Nothing is lost and nothing counts against you. A few letters may follow · one every three days, five at most, then silence · and you can turn even those off. When you come back, the garden welcomes you home with a letter, and the first day back is simply today.

What notifications does Noonki send?

Nothing until you say yes, and then only quiet ones, each written and scheduled on your phone. On your first day Noonki asks whether you would like the Daily Moment, and iOS asks its own question only if you say yes. The Daily Moment is a short line woven from that day's sky and a real kindness, once a day or as often as you choose, and only between the hours you set; it is never about streaks. If the garden rests itself after a quiet stretch, a few letters may follow · one every three days, five at most, then quiet. A pause at midday, and with Noonki Plus a second moment and an evening whisper, come only if you switch them on. No server sends any of them, and nothing about them leaves your phone. To turn any of them off, use its switch in Settings & care on the You page, rest the garden with Let the garden rest with you, or turn off Noonki under Notifications in the Settings app.

What is the shared plot?

One small bed tended by you and one friend. Completing a real kindness lets you tend it, once a day. When you have both tended it twice in a week it blooms, and an identical flower is pressed into both your almanacs.

When does the aurora come?

Once a week, on a night dealt to your garden alone · nobody, including us, can predict which. If you miss one, another week is always coming. Meteor storms strengthen real shower nights, and sometimes, for one still hour, nothing in the garden moves at all.

Can I keep pictures with my days?

Yes · one photo beside any day in the Almanac. Photos stay on this phone: they are never sent to us, never part of Noonki's iCloud copies, and never appear in anything you share. Like everything else on the phone, they are included in your iPhone's own backup if you back up to iCloud or to a computer. Deleting your account leaves them on the phone · Remove the picture on a day takes one away, and deleting the app takes them all.

Can I take the garden with me through the day?

Widgets for the home and lock screen carry the streak lantern, today's seed and a line from the garden. Press and hold the app icon to jump straight to today's seed. Siri knows three phrases · plant a seed, light the lantern, how is my garden. And a bench in the garden asks nothing of you at all.
